Almost 30 people were arrested every day in Logan over the last seven days.
Hundreds of charges were laid as part of a crackdown that saw specialist police target more than 310 crime hotspots in the city.
Twenty of the 194 offenders were under the age of 18, with offences ranging from drug possession to dangerous driving.
There were hundreds of knife and weapon searches, and over 1000 random roadside drug and alcohol tests.
One woman, a 38-year-old from Browns Plains, was charged with possession of drugs and driving under the influence after she was pulled over following reports of “erratic driving” along Browns Plains Road.
Officers detained the woman and the car passenger, a 40-year-old man from Kingston, in the Browns Plains Shopping Centre car park after allegedly observing signs of drug use.
“A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered a range of alleged illicit substances, including ice, MDMA powder, pharmaceutical tablets and GHB,” police said in a statement.
“Officers also allegedly located drug utensils, such as amphetamine pipes and used syringes, along with stolen registration plates and a large firework.”
Both are due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court next year.
Acting Superintendent Tim Mowle said the operation, called Whiskey Legion, achieved significant results.
“We have achieved a lasting and positive impact in Logan,” he said.
“This initiative is about holding offenders accountable and enhancing community safety.
“Our officers have been out in the community making arrests and disrupting criminal activity.”
Police conducted 52 bail compliance checks over the seven days to ensure offenders were adhering to their conditions.
“Bail compliance checks are a vital part of keeping the community safe and ensuring offenders are held accountable,” Acting Superintendent Mowle said.
The operation also put a focus on officers engaging with members of the community to provide crime prevention strategies and ensure residents feel supported.
“Our officers have also connected with 101 victims of crime to offer guidance and referrals to support services,” Acting Superintendent Mowle said.
This was the last deployment of Operation Whiskey Legion for 2024.
