Four minutes to remain undefeated

Four minutes was all it took for heavyweight Justis Huni to remain undefeated.

The Logan based boxing prodigy knocked out his opponent Leandro Robutti to take his professional record to 11-0 at the Fortitude Music Hall on 11 December.

The 140kg Argentinian gave it his best but was outclassed by Huni, who dominated the fight from the opening bell.

Huni finished the fight with a combination of head and body shots which forced Robutti to take a knee.

The referee waved the fight shortly after.

Huni, who is coached by Mark Wilson, spoke post fight about his performance.

“Round one was a filling out process just to see what he brought and stick to my game plan which was to be patient,” he said.

“I felt the momentum building early in the second and I just pretty much took my opportunity and came out with a win.”

Having fought three times in 2024, Huni hopes to start 2025 with a bang.

“I think I’ve got a big chance to be on Jai Opetaia’s card at the Gold Coast in January, which would be massive for my career and me moving forward,” he said.

“For myself, I know I have to stay as busy as I can and build my record up.

“So when those big fights come, I’ll be prepared and ready to jump in there and bang with the best.”
