More than 1800 police from across Australia took part in the Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance on on Saturday 12 September,.
The officers rode motorbikes to the National Police Memorial in Canberra to honour their fallen colleagues.
Wall to Wall was established in 2009 as a reminder of the officers who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty, while also raising vital funds for Police Legacy.
Today it has grown to bring together thousands of current and former police officers, family members, friends and supporters from across the state and raised more than $2million to support police and their families in their times of need.
Queensland Police Service Acting Commissioner Brett Pointing said the Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance was a powerful demonstration of the enduring bond shared by the policing family.
“Wall to Wall is a poignant reminder that those who lost their lives protecting their communities are never forgotten,” Acting Commissioner Pointing said.
“Every kilometre travelled reflects a promise to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to support the families, friends and colleagues who continue to honour their memory,” he said.
