Crime scene declared after suspicious fire, Logan Central

A fire was deliberately lit by an unknown offenders inside a Logan Central house on Wednesday night, according to police.

Initial information suggests the Bindi Street residence was set alight at around 11.35pm, police said today in a statement.

“No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.”

A crime scene has been declared and investigations into the cause are underway.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Fire Department said the fire was started in the garage and was under control by 11.45pm.

He did not say the extend of the damage caused to the home.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
