Six teenagers have been charged with almost 100 offences following a spree of alleged burglaries and theft across Logan and south-east Queensland.
Four of the teens, aged 14 to 16, are from Logan.
Police allege the group committed a series of crimes – including unlawful use of a car, assault occasioning bodily harm, burglary, trespass and stealing – throughout the region between late September and early November.
This includes Park Ridge, Crestmead, Browns Plains, Bulimba, Calamvale, Springfield Lakes, Bellbird Park, Sunnybank Hills, Stretton, Ashmore, Augustine Heights, and Springfield.
“Following extensive police investigations, the group was located and arrested,” police said in a statement.
A Crestmead girl, 16, was taken into custody on 11 November and charged with 17 offences.
She is due to face court on 2 December.
A Marsden boy, 14, who police said was found hiding inside the roof of a unit in Kingston on 12 November, was charged with 20 offences.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to face court on 8 December.
The same day, police said they arrested a 15-year-old Browns Plains girl and charged her with 15 offences.
She first appeared before court on 13 November.
On 14 November, three other teens were arrested at a property on Nova Street, Waterford.
A Waterford girl, 15, was charged with 13 offences; a Caboolture girl, 14, was charged with four offences; and a Scarborough boy, 14, was 26 offences.
The have all already appeared before court.
South Brisbane District Centenary Crime Group Acting Inspector Justin Anderson said officers were committed to holding all offenders to account.
“Wherever we receive reports of harm or fear being caused in our community, our local officers will be relentless in perusing justice for the victims and preventing further offending.
“Everyone deserves to be safe and feel safe in their home and at their workplace.
“This work is in addition to the extensive proactive patrols, engagement and enforcement activities our boarder district undertakes on a daily basis in an effort to detect, deter and prevent crime.”
