A pedestrian has died days after he was hit by a ute at Waterford West.
The man, age 29 from Loganlea, was hit by a Holden Colorado at the intersection of Chambers Flat Road and Burke Street at about 8.20pm on 20 November, according to police.
“The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old Redland Bay man, left the scene prior to police arrival but later returned to the scene and is now assisting police with their inquiries,” police said in a statement.
The pedestrian was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.
Two days later, on the night of Saturday 22 November, police said the man had died in hospital.
“The Forensic Crash Unit are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dash cam vision to come forward,” a statement read.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
