A man who allegedly tried to rob a Logan Village service station has left empty-handed, except for the weapon he walked in with.
Police are searching for a six-foot-tall man in his lates 50s who allegedly tried to rob a service station on Albert Street while armed last month.
CCTV footage shows a man entering the store. Police believe he may be able to help them with their investigation.
The footage shows a man entering the store with what appears to be a weapon hidden behind his back, around 10:15pm on 18 April.
He approached a 32-year-old female worker at the counter, and according to police, made “repeated demands for money”.
The worker refused to hand over any money from the till and after a few moments, the man left the store.
The man was described as “caucasian, aged in his late 50’s, just under 182 cm tall, slim build with a tattoo on his left chest of a hand print and on the left bicep possibly of flowers”.
He was wearing a blue baseball cap, two tone grey singlet, black football shorts and dark thongs.
Police have confirmed there were no customers or staff in the store when the incident occured.
