Police investigate alleged armed robbery of Beenleigh and Pimpama service stations

Police are investigating two alleged armed robberies linked to locations across Beenleigh, Slacks Creek and Woodridge.

Detectives from the Gold Coast and Logan Child Protection and Investigation Units say two service stations, in Beenleigh and Pimpama, were allegedly targeted by two teenage boys. .

At about 4.20am on 18 April, the pair allegedly went to a service station on Nexus Drive at Pimpama, where one teenager armed with a knife threatened staff and demanded cash.

Police allege the two then jumped over the counter, taking a sum of money and a quantity of cigarettes before leaving in a blue Honda Civic.

A female employee, 31, moved to a secure room during the incident and was not physically injured, police said.

Roughly 25 minutes later, at around 4.45am, investigators allege the same two boys did the same thing at a service station on Logan River Road at Beenleigh.

Police allege one of the teenagers went inside the Beenleigh service station armed with a knife and threatened a man, 24, working there, allegedly demanding cash and cigarettes, while the second boy remained at the entrance.

Police allege they left the scene in the blue Honda Civic with money and cigarettes.

The employee was not physically injured.

Police say the blue Honda Civic had been reported stolen from Kingston Road at Slacks Creek on 16 April and was later found abandoned at Woodridge.

Crime scenes were declared at both service stations, and a knife alleged to have been used in the offences was found at the Pimpama location.

Investigations are continuing, with police appealing to anyone who saw either incident or has relevant vision to come forward.
