Changes to disabled parking, parents with prams parking and entry ways are temporarily altering the way customers
access Springwood Mall as it undergoes its $16m redevelopment.
The disabled and parents with prams car parks at the front of the centre have been moved, and signage installed to help customers access the Western entry between Ridge Jewellers and the National Australia Bank.
The Eastern entry, lined by Soon Kitchen and Ispa Kebabs, is still accessible via both the stairs and the ramps, with
directional signage on the hoarding helping customers to navigate the changed conditions.
Springwood Mall Marketing Manager Donna O’Neill said the changes are now extensive as the centre undergoes its first full refurbishment since opening in 1986.
“We appreciate the understanding, loyalty and patience that customers are showing our retailers while we evolve into a modern, convenient centre.
“In great news as part of the redevelopment, we are adding seven more disabled car parks to take the total to 17. Some of these will be located in the expanded undercroft car park near the new lift and travelators we are also building, to offer weather-proof, easy access for customers using wheelchairs, prams, assisted walking devices and more.
“We are on track to transform Springwood Mall by mid-2022 as planned. While it is a huge task, we can’t wait to deliver the new-look centre to our customers.”
