Logan is the youngest, most diverse and fastest growing city in Queensland, and we are ready to launch.
The Olympics are coming, businesses are seeing our potential, and more people want to make Logan their home.
The people of Logan had a clear choice at this election.
They could accept politics of the status quo, or they could choose someone who wants to transform our city to its fully potential.
I love Logan, and I want to change our reputation from what it’s always been, to what we know it can be.
I want to talk up our success stories and promote our amazing community.
We want to let investors know we mean business and attract industries that create jobs for the future.
Throughout the campaign, at the polling booths, at the doors that I knocked, and on social media, voted told me they want a mayor who is on their side.
They want a mayor who will take the fight for our city to get the investment it needs to north Logan (Brisbane) and Logan shores (the Gold Coast).
I am looking forward to being that mayor for you.
I would like to thank everyone in Logan who voted for me, volunteered for my campaign, or gave me words of encouragement when they saw me around the city or on social media.
I will keep being the active, hands-on and approachable person I have always been.
To me, real leadership is about listening.
I’d also like to thank the multicultural and religious community leaders who backed me because they want to see what’s best for Logan.
With more than 230 cultures represented in our city, diversity is one of our greatest strengths.
And if you didn’t vote for me this time, I hope my hard work over the next four years will prove to you why the majority of Logan made a great choice.
As my old man always said to me, if you want to go first, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together.
That’s the kind of mayor I want to be.
