Call-to-action to stop pricey Rail Trail

What is not required, nor will be used, by 99% of Logan City Residents, will cost in excess of $13 million to construct and then require yearly maintenance expenditure in excess of $100k?

The Answer is the Bethania to Logan Village Rail Trail.

It is difficult to find a case to support the expenditure of millions of dollars on a rail trail in today’s poor financial climate.

Costs are continually rising-Logan City Rates are going up by 4.09%. How can the Mayor and  council keep supporting the Rail Trail – they should be thinking of ways to reduce expenditure, rather than spending large amounts on non essential works.

If readers consider the Logan City Council should “stop” the Rail Trail project then contact your division councillor and express your view.

Ian Douglas,

Bethania.
