The end of the school year is upon us and that means that graduation season for our Year 12 students around the Forde electorate is in full swing.
I have had the pleasure of attending a number of graduation ceremonies over the past few weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of what is such a special night.
These are evenings that mark such an important milestone in lives of our graduating students.
Completing Year 12 is no small feat.
It signifies the fulfilment of years of hard work and learning, which has not only shaped the lives and minds of our graduating class.
For them, it has been all that they have known for most of their lives.
As they transition into further study or start their new careers, the lessons instilled throughout their schooling life will play a significant role in their continued development.
Thank you to our local schools for allowing me to join them in celebrating the fantastic achievements of our Year 12 students.
To those that are graduating this year, I share with you the following words.
Congratulations class of 2023!
Every year throws up its own unique set of challenges and obstacles for students to overcome.
As a part of this year’s graduating class, you can proudly say that you have successfully navigated your way through them all.
It will be important for you to remember this fact, whenever you feel nervous about what the future may bring or as you look to setting new goals for yourself, throughout your life.
This also an important time to thank and congratulate all the parents, teachers, and school staff for the ongoing support and encouragement they have provided to you along this journey.
These special people have helped you become the person that you are today.
Congratulations and good luck to everyone who is about to embark on their transition from school life to the start of their careers.
I wish our students all the best in their future endeavours.
