Forde election campaign in full swing

WEEK two of pre-polling is under way and I’m ready and raring to go.
For those that are not aware, Forde has 7 early voting centres.

We’ve had unprecedented numbers of constituents early voting already.
It’s been a pleasure chatting to hundreds, more likely thousands of people already over the past several days.
In the build-up to all the pre-polling, I’ve been getting on with the job of delivering for Forde. It was an immense pleasure to welcome Shadow Minister for the Environment, Senator Jonno Duniam, into the electorate the other day.
He joined me and some of the Park Ridge Panthers family for a significant announcement for the electorate. A Peter Dutton-led LNP Government will deliver $6.4million to bring Hubner Park into the 21st century.
The Panthers are one of the fastest growing clubs in the Forde region.
They’ve outgrown their current facilities and with projections suggesting the club will exceed 1000 playing members across football, futsal and cricket by 2031, it’s time to expand.
Hubner Park is due for a major upgrade including clubhouse, expanded car park, storage compound, covered roof over courts, improved pathways site and upgraded spectator seating.
The $6.4million will go with Logan City Council’s own contribution toward the expected $12.8 million project cost.
A lot of hard work and advocating went into this and it’s something our community needs.
Hubner Park is a hive of activity and a real focal point for so many different groups, nationalities and expanding the current facilities will be great for so many.
On top of this declaration, I was also able to announce $530,000 in Safer Community and CCTV funding for the electorate too.
The Labor Party continue to prove they only want to deal in scare campaigns, promising and producing nothing for Forde.
I’m busy getting on with the job of delivering for the community I love.
