It seems the message just isn’t getting through as road fatalities continue to rise due to speed-related incidents in the Logan and Scenic Rim Council areas.
High speeds continue to be detected on radar, and Logan police are committed to reducing unsafe driving behaviours and speeding leading into the Christmas and new year periods.
Additional officers from the Brisbane Road Policing Task Force will specifically target speeding drivers around Logan, on our motorways and south to Beaudesert.
“It is your responsibility to ensure you are driving to the speed limit and to the conditions,” police said.
“Encourage those you drive with to do the same.
“All in all, it is the safety of the community we are focusing on, here in Logan.
“We have had far too many fatal car and motorbike accidents within our community this year, and it is time we all worked together and made a conscious effort to be safer on the road.”
