Police investigate alleged racial incidents at Greenbank

Police are investigating two alleged racial incidents in Greenbank after a child was assaulted and a house was spray-painted with offensive language and prohibited symbols.

Police said a group of people allegedly assaulted a child at a park on Tivoli Avenue between 5.30pm and 6.20pm on Saturday 3 October.

The group then allegedly made offensive remarks towards the child.

In a separate incident, unknown people allegedly attended a house on East Sentinel Drive sometime between midnight and 9am on Sunday and spray-painted the exterior of the property.

Police said the graffiti included offensive language and prohibited symbols.

Investigators arepealing for anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam footage or other relevant vision from the Greenbank area to contact police.
