Young entrepreneurs to gather at Loganholme

Students will be encouraged to think like business founders at the Young Entrepreneur Summit Logan on Wednesday, 10 June.

The one-day summit, hosted by The ASE Group, will run from 9am to 2pm at the KP Centre, 373 Chatswood Road, Loganholme.

The event is designed for students from Years 6-12 and aims to build confidence, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking through workshops, keynote sessions, panel discussions and group activities.

Students will take part in sessions covering ideation, business creation, pitch development, communication and a Shark Tank-style pitch activity.

The program also includes a young entrepreneurs and local leaders panel, Q&A sessions, and marketplace exhibition walkthroughs during morning tea and lunch.

Logan Office of Economic Development says the summit is run by young people, for young people and focuses on skills including public speaking, entrepreneurship, networking, financial literacy, collaboration and teamwork.

Tickets have been sponsored by Logan City Council and Cook Medical.

The Humanitix listing says fully funded places are available for disadvantaged schools and students, capped at 25 sponsored students per school.

Students attending are asked to bring morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, a water bottle, notebook and pen.
