A woman has been charged after copper piping and wiring were allegedly stolen from houses under construction in Logan Reserve.
Queensland Police said two people entered multiple construction sites between 2am and 4am on 5 June and stole copper piping and wiring from properties being built.
Police said a security patrol officer saw a blue Hyundai sedan near one of the sites and later saw two people with face coverings enter the car and leave the area.
Detectives from Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit later saw a car matching the description travelling on Kingston Road at Waterford West.
Police intercepted the car, but a male occupant allegedly ran from the scene.
A 31-year-old Regents Park woman was arrested.
Police said a search of the car allegedly found copper piping and wiring believed to have been stolen from construction sites, building equipment, a stolen registration plate, dangerous drugs, drug-related items and a knife.
The woman was charged with several offences, including receiving tainted property, possessing tainted property, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, possessing dangerous drugs and possession of a knife in a public place.
She was remanded in custody and was due to reappear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 12 June.
Police said at the time they were still trying to locate the male suspect.
