WE are a lucky country.
We have emerged from a global pandemic with a relatively stable economy, compared to that of many foreign nations.
This weekend, we get the right to exercise our democratic vote, and whichever way our ballot falls, we’ll be undertaking a choice of some responsibility.
That responsibility will determine to some extent future decisions which will impact our lives and our nation’s fiscal stability.
Both parties have declared their hand, and explained – again, to some extent – how they plan to manage our way forward.
They’ve discussed cost of living, inflation, employment, aged care, child care, climate change and health care, to name a few.
In the end, we’ll weigh things up, and we’ll work out how the vision of each party suits our individual priorities.
Either way, we’re pinning our hopes on a democratic system which invites all to have their say.
And whatever the outcome, it have been reached by us all. Take your vote seriously on Saturday, it’s in everybody’s interest.
