Stolen Mercedes allegedly tracked into Logan

A stolen Mercedes was tracked into Logan before three people were arrested on the Gold Coast last week.

Queensland Police said a teenage boy allegedly stole car keys from a business on Racecourse Road, Bundall, about 8am on 10 June before stealing a Mercedes S400 from a carpark.

Police said the stolen car was allegedly seen travelling on Robina Town Centre Drive on 12 June.

With help from POLAIR, police tracked the Mercedes as it allegedly travelled north into Logan before returning to the northern Gold Coast.

Police said the car stopped on the Pacific Motorway at Upper Coomera, near Rifle Range Road, about 10pm.

Three occupants allegedly ran from the car before the Police Dog Squad found them hiding nearby.

A 17-year-old Tugun boy was charged with enter dwelling with intent at night, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter premises and commit indictable offence.

An 18-year-old Currumbin Waters woman and an 18-year-old Southport man were each charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company.

Investigations are continuing.
