Snuggly sensory sidekick

Logan police have been gifted a giant teddy bear to be used as a “sensory bear” for young kids.

Local councillor Teresa Lane last week gifted the bear to Logan police, who named him Ted.

Ted will be working with the Logan District Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU), where police say he will “live out his days using his powers for good to provide loving reassurance to young people that need him most”.

The bear was made at Logan Central by Mission Possible Volunteers.

He has a hand-made vest adorned with bells, zippers, clips, as well as material of varying textures and is designed to assist young people who are in police care and who may need extra comfort and support.
