For the second time this week a Logan man has won $1 million from Gold Lotto.
A Mount Warren Park local was one of two winners who each took home a prize.
He said that while he was too young to retire, he could now achieve a better work-life balance.
“I woke up and it was maybe 3am and I thought I’d check my ticket,” the lucky winner said.
“I just sat there looking at it. I couldn’t believe it.
“I didn’t get much sleep after that.”
He said winning was better than a “poke in the eye with a blunt stick”.
“I’ve been playing forever and a day using these same numbers,” he said.
“I don’t know why I picked these numbers – I just picked them out of a hat.
“I still went to work today and will continue to work.”
Just days prior a man from Springwood claimed his $1.2 million prize.
“My wife was doing some weeding in the garden and the expression on her face when she saw me barrelling towards her was pure shock,” the man said.
“I said, ‘give me a hug, I think I just won Saturday Gold Lotto’.
“It’ll set us up for the rest of our lives and we’re so grateful.”
