Police appeal after three-car crash in Beenleigh

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after two allegedly dangerously driven vehicles collided with each other and a third car in Beenleigh on Monday afternoon.

Queensland Police said a stolen white Hyundai iLoad and a white Jeep Grand Cherokee were seen driving dangerously along Main Street and George Street shortly after 2pm on May 25, before continuing onto Logan River Road.

At about 2.20pm, the Hyundai and Jeep collided on Logan River Road at the intersection with Harburg Road, also crashing into a silver Nissan X-Trail.

Police are now seeking dashcam or security footage of the Hyundai and Jeep in the lead-up to the crash, as well as witnesses who saw the crash or the vehicles being driven beforehand.

The 19-year-old female driver of the Hyundai suffered an arm injury and was taken to Logan Hospital.

A 23-year-old male passenger in the Hyundai was not injured and has been arrested.

The two male occupants of the Jeep were not injured.

Police said the 50-year-old driver of the Jeep has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle and is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on June 22.

The 54-year-old woman driving the Nissan was not physically injured, but was transported to hospital as a precaution.

Anyone with relevant information, dashcam footage or security footage is urged to contact police.
