My home was not as deeply affected by the floods as many of those around me, but we did receive a small amount of damage.
I haven’t lived in Logan very long, however I do read constantly about this community being tight knit, ready to lend a helping hand when and where required.
Every community thinks like that, or so I thought. This was another level. Neighbours brought every tool from their shed to ensure our homes were neat and tidy.
Some communities might have required the mud army, but ours was organic – a natural occurrence that did whatever was needed.
People cooked, others did the hard outside jobs, and some had cleaning equipment for floors and walls.
It was phenomenal. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

Kingston.
