A man has been charged after police allegedly found stripped copper and suspected stolen property at an industrial development site in the Yatala-Stapylton corridor south of Logan.
Queensland Police said officers attended a site on Telford Circuit, Yatala, about 11am on Monday 6 July following reports people were unlawfully on the property.
Police say the front gate had been damaged and people at the site were stripping copper from property including air-conditioning units, power boxes and switchboards.
During a search, officers allegedly found suspected stolen property hidden beneath a tarp, including power tools, switchboards, copper cabling and other items that did not belong to the worksite.
Police said officers also found a man inside a stolen white Isuzu D-Max and arrested him.
Further investigations allegedly linked the man to a break-in at an industrial construction site on Christensen Road South, Stapylton, on 5 July.
Police say offenders forced their way into two storage containers, stole construction equipment and unlawfully used a company ute.
A 28-year-old Jamboree Heights man was charged with several offences, including receiving tainted property, entering premises and committing an indictable offence and drug-related charges.
He was due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 27 July.
Investigations are continuing.
