IT’S called a run, and there’s a new serious competitive side to the Logan Fun Run.
However, this year’s event will be every bit as much about walking as it will for those wanting to travel at a faster pace.
The 2023 course will traverse through the most scenic areas of the Griffith University Logan campus and Riverdale Park, and is perfect for runners and walkers alike, say organisers.
MyCity Logan is partnering the Griffith University event. Early bird registrations close today, but as an added incentive to enter the event, we’re offering 10% discount to readers of our digital or hard copy editions with the code MYCITY10.
“We are excited to bring the Griffith Sport Logan Fun Run back again in 2023 with some exciting new changes,” Griffith Sport events manager Courtney Royds said.
“This year will see the inaugural Schools Challenge where schools can compete to win $1000 for their school.
“The Schools Challenge is open to all enrolled students and anybody within the school community (parents, teachers, siblings etc).
“The more runners registered, the more points you can win for your school.”
There’s also a brand new 2.5km course, open to all participants of all ages. This accompanies the existing courses – a 1km Junior Dash, 5km and 10km.
“Our existing courses have undergone a refresh and we are excited to reveal these,” Ms Royds said.
“We look forward to welcoming you tothe 2023 Griffith Sport Logan Fun Run on Sunday 21 May!”
There will be prizes for the highest fundraiser – with all money raised going to Ronald McDonald House – best team spirit, best dressed and a lucky participant draw.
