Logan library-goers can join a national simultaneous reading event on May 25.
People from throughout Australia will join to read Family Tree by Josh Pyke.
Reading locations include libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres and family homes.
Simultaneous Storytime is free, from 11am at Logan West, Beenleigh, Marsden, Jimboomba, Logan Central and Logan North libraries as part of a Wriggle and Rhyme session.
Greenbank and Logan Hyperdome libraries are also participating from 10.30am.
The goal of event organiser, the Australian Library and Information Association, is to have one million kids involved and reading nationwide.
Best-selling author Deano Yipadee will also host his popular children’s show at Logan Libraries next week.
Participants can laugh, sing and read along with Deano’s collection of best-selling books, including Nee Naw The Little Fire Engine and Stink-o-saurus, as he takes them on a hilarious comedy live-music adventure.
The sessions include: Beenleigh Library: Tuesday, May 24 (10am – 11am); Logan Central Library – Wednesday, May 25 (10am – 11am); Marsden Library – Thursday, May 26 (9.30am – 10.30am); Logan West Library, Friday, May 27 (11am – noon).
Bookings at loglib.org/whatson.
