A new $12.5 million learning centre has opened at Logan City Special School, featuring 12 new classrooms.
There are general learning areas, reading spaces, computer stations, sensory play zones and alternative learning areas for art, living skills and small group learning.
Enrolment at the school has doubled over the past decade, fueling the need for expansion.
Woodridge MP Cameron Dick said the join state-federal funded project created a learning environment where students and staff could thrive.
“Principal Rod Kirkland and his team do amazing work here in Logan, and you see the results of their efforts through these wonderful kids,” Mr Dick said.
“It’s exciting to see this project delivered and to know so many families in our community will benefit.”
