Jobs, jobs, jobs and more jobs! That’s what the Morrison Government’s 2020 budget is all about. Whether it’s delivering tax relief, investing in local infrastructure, providing direct support for local businesses, our budget measures are designed to create jobs now and well into the future.
We’re delivering over $3.4 million to Logan City Council for upgrades to community infrastructure and local roads this year. This means more work for local companies and jobs to support our economic recovery.
Locally, I’m working hard with Prime Minister Scott Morrison to build a solid foundation so local businesses can have the confidence and support they need to invest, grow and hire more locals.
This means giving tax cuts to hard working Aussies and a $500 boost to pensioners to put more money back into their pockets and hopefully spend that locally, generating greater demand and a hive of activity for local small businesses.
We have a Modern Manufacturing Strategy to make sure more things are made right here in Logan. Our investments to support manufacturing are already reaping dividends with more companies like ATP Science and Holmwood Highgate in Loganholme investing in Logan and hiring more locals in the process.
Our JobMaker Hiring Credit and apprentice wage subsidy scheme will be the key to solving our high youth unemployment rates, by giving businesses that added incentive, that little nudge they need to take on more workers.
Jobs are the key to our economic recovery and our plan will create more jobs and opportunity right here in Logan.
