People might not know the name of Thomas Crane, but the many who’ve seen him will know him as the guy who looks and sings like Freddy Mercury.
He’s been to Logan before and is returning to the Logan Entertainment Centre on 26 April for a celebration of Queen.
It’s been 50 years since the band was formed, and went on to become one of the world’s greatest music revelations.
Queen Bohemian Rhapsody is the name of the show which has received wide acclaim.
“My God, Freddie Mercury is alive and well and he would have been very proud of that vocal performance,” Molly Meldrum said.
“Queen Bohemian Rhapsody is a must-see show for anyone who wants to relive the sound, the voice and all of the magical hits of Queen and Freddie Mercury in an exciting two-hour concert experience that is much like the legend himself – unforgettable.”
The tour follows tours two and four years ago, and is again expected to play the most popular Queen hits from all their albums.
Queen has been exposed to a new audience following the movie.
According to organisers, not only has the band been one of the greatest rock bands of the 20th century, but Mercury was “hailed by many as the most charismatic and flamboyant performer in contemporary rock.”
And they say Crane replicates that in his Bohemian Rhapsody show.
“Thomas with his hot band Bohemian Rhapsody bring back to life the visual excitement, sound and stage energy as witnessed at a Queen concert,” they say.
Some of the better-known hits include We Wlll Rock You, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga, A Kind of Magic, I Want To Break Free, Another One Bites the Dust and Bohemian Rhapsody.
“Everything is here, right down to the trademark cheeky banter and singing contests between Freddie and his audience,” Mr Crane said.
“Bohemian Rhapsody manage to take everything that made a Queen show unique and bring it back to life before your very eyes and ears.”
