Logan the home of country

Country music is set to take centre stage in Logan, with two major festivals bringing some of Australia’s biggest country stars to different parts of the city in 2025.

Following a sold-out debut in 2024, the Lasso Country Music Festival will return for a second year on July 5 at Distillery Road Market.

Presented by Goldspur Entertainment, the festival will feature ten-time Golden Guitar winners The Wolfe Brothers as headliners, alongside a lineup of Australian country talent, including Denvah, Robbie Mortimer, Tori Forsyth, and Wesley Dean.

Rising country artists Mack Geiger, Piper Rodrigues, Ethan Calway, Sarah Catania, Cait Jamieson, and Mackenzie May will also take the stage.

Lasso Country Music Festival co-directors Ashlyn and Ken Dinsdale said they were excited to bring the festival back to Logan.

“As Logan’s first-ever country music festival, Lasso is helping expand the genre’s presence in the region, creating new opportunities for artists and fans alike,” they said.

“After a sold-out debut, we hope the festival will become a fixture in Logan’s country music scene.”

Tickets for Lasso CMF are on sale via Oztix, with children’s tickets priced at $30 and adult tickets at $70.

Meanwhile, in west Logan, Woodstock Farm Presents: Legends Of Country will debut on Saturday, 31 May, at the 121-hectare Woodstock Farm in Tamborine Village.

Headlined by Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Casey Barnes, and Sara Storer, the event will also feature Australian Idol alumnus Wesley Dean, Star Maker finalist and Logan musician Briana Dinsdale, and Rusty Pickups.

Organised to support the Youth Enterprise Trust (YET), the festival aims to provide a live country music experience while contributing to youth programs.

YET spokesperson Don McDonald said the event would bring together both country music legends and the local community.

“We are excited to present this event, which will celebrate country music while also supporting youth programs,” he said.

“Woodstock Farm provides a unique setting to showcase live performances, and we hope to see a great turnout from fans of all ages.”

Tickets for Legends of Country are on sale now through the Woodstock Farm and Oztix websites.
