Never mind the anti-vax campaigners.
They say they’ve done their homework, yet they haven’t provided any evidence which proves their case.
They say a vaccine has been produced too quickly. Perhaps what this proves is that previously we’ve been too cautious when looking for medical advancement.
What I read, doing my own homework, is that we’re discovering through necessity that research can be propelled forward.
Those with grave illness will, thanks to what we’re learning of late, have greater hope of cures and scientific discovery.
Billions of dollars which is being poured into research will suddenly see speedier results, previously thwarted by conservative governments worried more by implications than they were about offering people a greater chance at life and wellbeing.
The anti-vaxers will continue to try to drag science back into the dark ages.
The rest of us can be assured that we’re by far and away in the majority, sitting back watching the troubled few squeal their way into the news headlines any vocal minority might.
I’m looking very much forward to going to places where I know like-minded individuals will be having a good time with some surety of safety, while the defiant few are left at home binging Netflix.
