A Hillcrest man, 62, has died after the tip-truck he was driving veered of the road and down an embankment.
The crash, at around 9.30am on Wednesday, occured in Witheren in the Scenic Rim.
“Initial investigations indicate… a tip-truck was travelling along Beechmont Road, near Rhoades Road, when it left the road and went down an embankment,” a police statement read.
“The driver and single occupant of the vehicle, a 62-yer-old Hillcrest man, was declared deceased at the scene.”
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or CCTV/dashcam vision to come forward.
