Sunday Twin Rivers Community Mallet Club has lost in a nail-biter in its annual trip to Wynnum Croquet Club.
The friendly doubles event has been running since 2016.
Twin Rivers is a relative new club of 13 years, and is gradually growing in numbers which leads to more experience and talent.
The latest contest against Wynnum was fought over 36 matches, going down to the last match which eventuated in a tie.
Wynnum won on count back by the total number of hoops won.
Players said they hoped new courts will be ready at Twin Rivers by next year, presenting a home advantage. The courts are being built.
