Philip Horstmann and Hermanna Moman this month celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Mr Horstmann said they signed the register after being married in the Reformed Church at Toowong.
Mr Horstmann migrated to Australia from Holland in 1954 and his wife “came a year later with her family”. They have lived in Logan since 1955.
They lived just 20 minutes from each other in The Hague, Holland, but had never met despite some of their immediate relatives being friends.
They have three children (two sons, one daughter), nine grandchildren (seven girls, two boys), and eight great grandchildren (three boys, three girls and two on the way).
The couple is celebrating their anniversary in Bali where they travel often.
