I am writing to you on behalf of my 91-year-old mother.
She has been a resident of Palm Lakes Waterford for six years having sold her acreage property for safer, secure living.
She bought into Palm Lakes as it was a secure gated village, and over the last several months the knowledge that this could all change is causing much anxiety to her and most of the Residents who reside in the village.
In particular, this is the case with residents whose properties backĀ on to the proposed track as there has been little or no consultation with residents to allay their concerns as to safety, and also noise if this all goes ahead.
Council needs to show respect and concern for their safety and mental well-being.
Sadly these people have worked all their lives in many professions only to now feel like they no longer matter.
These people and their families, many of whom live in the Logan area, all feel this money could be better spent to benefit the wider community, and this action by the council is now worrying other villages in the area.
Councillors should remember that these people all vote,
Lyn Dale,
Village resident’s family,
Palm Lakes Waterford.
