Council adds its tribute after Queen’s death

Logan City Council has joined the world with its own tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.

“During her 70-year reign, the Queen was loved and respected around the world for her grace, courage, and dedication to public service,” mayor Darren Power said.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by this sad news.”

Flags at Logan City Council’s main administration centre in Logan Central have been lowered to half-mast.

September 22 will be a national public holiday in remembrance of the Queen.

“On behalf of my fellow councillors, council staff and residents of the City of Logan, we send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family,” Cr Power said.
