JIMBOOMBA police have embarked on a series of “Coffee with a Cop” sessions.
They recently visited Flagstone Central Shopping Centre with Jordan MP Charis Mullen.
It’s a statewide initiative which gives the community an opportunity to talk to their local police about any issues, concerns or questions they have, while sharing a cup of coffee together.
“People rarely get the opportunity to talk to police in a relaxed forum, so topics can often vary from home security, to keeping teenagers safe, to suspicious activity concerns or having noisy parties,” a police spokesperson said.
“Some people want to know how to help others. People are often reluctant to call on police for assistance, so they generally have a number of questions in their heads they’ve never had the opportunity to ask.
“Coffee with a Cop is the perfect place for those unanswered questions you may have for us.”
