DESPITE current Covid impacts, Logan’s new cultural and entertainment hub at Kingston Butter Factory is looking at a big year of events.
Recently, ARIA award-winning band Lime Cordiale went through the new venue ahead of their scheduled concern on May 8.
Band members Oli and Louis Leimbach have a travelling festival, The Squeeze, which includes an extended line up of acts, Thelma Plum, Client Liaison, The VANNS, Teenage Dads and Merci, Mercy.
Oli Leimbach said it was “crazy” to think how The Squeeze had grown from an indoor event to a major outdoor national festival in its third year.
“After the industry has been hit so hard it’s a great feeling to know that we’re pulling this off,” he said.
“We look forward to attracting many artists of this callibre to KBF as this new venue starts its journey in the coming months,” mayor Darren Power said. A number of events, including the opening of the revamped precinct on January 29 have either been postponed or cancelled.
