Woman hospitalised after alleged stabbing at Beenleigh park

A woman, 45, was taken to hospital with stomach wounds after an alleged stabbing in Beenleigh, police said.

Emergency services were called to Hugh Muntz Park on Morrison Lane just before 8pm on Sunday, 19 April, following reports that a woman had been allegedly stabbed in the stomach.

The woman was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition, according to paramedics.

Police said the woman was in a stable condition this morning, Monday, 20 April.

A crime scene has been established at the park while officers investigate what happened.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
