A man, 50, has been charged three months after allegedly shooting another man at Woodridge.
Police allege that just before 8pm on 28 July, a 30-year-old Browns Plains man was at a property on North Road when he “became involved in an altercation” with a Waterford West man who was known to him.
During the alleged fight, the Waterford West man, aged 50, allegedly shot the Browns Plains man in the leg.
Police said officers who were patrolling North Road at the time were approached by the Browns Plains man, who told officers he had been shot.
The officers applied first aid to the man before he was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Almost three months later, on 14 October, police say they arrested the Waterford West man while he was driving on Kingston Road, Slacks Creek.
“A 50-year-old Waterford West man has now been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm,” a police statement read.
“He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, 15 October.”
