THE Logan community stood shoulder to shoulder last night (Wednesday), remembering those who have lost their lives and the ones left behind due to domestic and family violence at a candle lighting vigil at the Logan Entertainment Centre.
“Speakers provided powerful and moving words outlining that everyone has the right to live without fear of domestic and family violence,” a police statement said.
“Domestic and family violence impacts people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and genders, and is not only physical – it can be emotional, sexual, financial, social, spiritual, verbal, psychological or technology-based.”
Police said if you or someone you know is being impacted by domestic and family violence, report it to police or access support services: If the incident is happening now or there is immediate danger call Triple Zero (000).
