Yarrabilba man stable after being shot, police say

Police are investigating an incident where a Yarrabilba man, 38, was shot in the elbow after two men ‘gained entry’ to a Molendinar property.

The Yarrabilba man was taken to hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said they were called to a property on Macquarie Avenue at around 4.30am on Tuesday, 10 March, after reports of a loud bang.

Police declared the property a crime scene.

Initial investigations indicate that two men with their faces covered gained entry to the property where the Yarrabilba man was shot.

The two men fled the scene, police allege.

Police believe the incident was targeted and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
