Yarrabilba and Holmview residents impacted by the Christmas Day storm can now access financial assistance from the federal government.
The suburbs were added to a seemingly growing list of Logan areas that include Cedar Creek, Cedar Grove, Cedar Vale, Eagleby, Flagstone, Glenlogan, Jimboomba, Logan Village, Mundoolun, Riverbend, Tamborine, Veresdale and Woodhill.
The assistance involves a one-off payment of $1000 for adults and $400 for children.
Those in need of claim assistance can call the Australian Government emergency information line on 180 22 66.
Meanwhile, storm clean-up efforts throughout Logan are continuing.
Logan City Council’s kerbside clean-up program is running as scheduled on local streets, despite some delays council said was caused by weather.
Residents can also freely dispose of green and hard waste at the city’s tips in Browns Plains Logan Village, Greenbank, Beenleigh and Carbrook.
Those who cannot dispose of their waste at one of these facilities have been advised to stack un-mulched green waste neatly on the kerb.
