Candidate nominations for the 2024 local government elections officially closed on Tuesday 13 February, leaving five of the 12 sitting Logan councillors uncontested.
Councillors Tony Hall, Jacob Heremaia, Scott Bannan, Miriam Stemp and Natalie Willcocks can rest assured knowing they will resume their seats following the election this 16 March.
Cr Jon Raven is running for mayor and Cr Laurie Koranski is retiring, opening their divisions to fresh-faced candidates.
Candidates in the remaining five divisions will be facing off against incumbents, who are notoriously difficult to defeat at a local government level.
Early voting begins on 4 March and closes on 15 March, the day before the election.
