A live-streamed writing session will provide the tools for people to begin their own self-publishing, blogging or history project.
The event is from 11am to 12.30pm on Saturday August 29 on Zoom.
Brisbane writer and educator Caylie Jeffery will deliver the Under the Lino session as part of National Family History Month focused on home, the family and keepsakes.
Ms Jeffery became an accidental historian in 2017 after sharing old documents discovered in her home on social media.
An online group of more than 1000 amateur historians was then born.
Ms Jeffery turned this collaborative community project into a crowd-funded, self-published book, Under the Lino, and a blog.
She is passionate about helping people to discover the benefits of the written word for mental health and well-being.
