When will the courts enforce hard sentences

I am referring to the article in MyCity Logan (September 21-27) by Whiney Wayne.

He received a $400 parking fine. As stated, three criminal court cases, and all were given a slap on the wrist.

Also, (in the same month) a man was caught with thousands of child videos. He received no jail time, due to his reputation being destroyed.

What about the children’s mental health?

When are the courts going to wake up, and start handing out jail sentences that are appropriate for the crimes committed?

The justice minister should remove them from the bench if they are not prepared to enforce sentences that the government has legislated into law.

Jeff New,

Woodridge.
