Halloween in the Park

‘Fly on down’ to Doug Larsen Park with the family and come dressed in your best spooky costume. Learn about our special night-time pollinators, the flying-foxes, and watch them fly out at sunset in search of food. There will be lots of free fun activities, sausage sizzle for dinner and a special guest appearance by a very special educational Flying Fox – Luna. 28 October from 4:30pm. Entry is free.

City of Logan Sports Awards

The City of Logan Sports Awards pay tribute to our city’s athletes, sporting staff, and sports events. The Awards recognise home-grown sporting icons whose accomplishments have seen them reach the highest level in their chosen sport. Tai Chi

The Loganlea Community Centre on Timms Street holds a Tai Chi class each Saturday morning from 8am. Entry is by gold coin donation. Tai Chi can enhance balance, strength and coordination. Improve flexibility as well as physical and mental wellbeing with these classes. Please wear enclosed shoes. To book phone 3805 8260.

Adult Learn to Swim

A learn to swim class for beginner adults will run each Saturday from midday at Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre in Kingston for the next five weeks. The class is for adults with little or no swimming ability. It’s designed for people who are learning English. Please bring a towel, swimwear and goggles. To book phone 0406 063 737.

Balance and Falls Prevention

Each week adults of all ages can attend a class to improve balance, stability and prevent falls. A physiotherapist or exercise physiologist will instruct this class. Entry is free each Monday from 9am. To book email reception@northhab.com.au.
