Old time dance
An old time, new vogue dance will be held at the Woodhill Hall on Saturday 21 October. Dancing will begin at 7pm, accompanied by live music played by “The Undecided”. A Lucky Door Prize, multi draw raffle, Monte Carlo and Lucky Spot prizes can be won. Admission is $10 for 14 years and over, and includes a meal. Under 14s free. Contact 07 5543 1301.
Social pickeball
Join the Rotary Club Browns Plains every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for a social session of pickleball. Played on a Badminton court, pickleball is a popular and fast growing sport similar to tennis, but a paddle and hollow plastic ball are used instead of a racquet and tennis ball. The free games are held at St Bernardine’s Primary School from 6:30-8:30pm. All equipment and coaching provided.
Breaky markets
The Butter Factory Breakfast Markets are on again Saturday 14 October. The markets will showcase local community groups, market businesses and services, and entertainment, including: foods, dog wash, massages, henna tattoos, pet treats, fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, and more. Held on the second Saturday of each month, from 7am to 12pm at the Kingston Butter Factory Precinct.

Cent auction
Logan East Community Centre is holding a cent auction on Saturday 14 October at the Springwood Community Centre, 55-57 Cinderella Drive. Doors will open at 10am for an 11am start. The event will conclude at 2pm. Entry is $5, which includes a snack and 1 sheet of tickets. Extra sheets are $1.00 each. There are amazing prizes to be won.
