The suburb of Eagleby does not want to be surrounded on three sides by an elevated highway that will surround us with noise, heavy particulate pollution and a devastated environment.
We don’t want our health to be affected and the lives of our schoolchildren put at risk as our suburb is divided by heavy traffic joining the new road.
We don’t our properties devalued and people forced away from their land and their livelihood.
We don’t want to lose this last green space with it’s amazing wetlands and floodplains which protect the suburbs upstream as they mitigate flood events.
We don’t want World Heritage Listed Moreton Bay damaged as disturbance to the acid sulphate soil leaches into the Logan River.
We don’t want this re-jigged Daisy Hill, Koala Road now called the Coomera Connector to go ahead in its present form.
We do want the Minister for Transport to seriously consider a change to the proposed plan to create greater benefits for this and other communities.
