Police have released footage showing the moment officers discovered a “significant” quantity of drugs at a Gold Coast property, leading to the arrest of a 32-year-old Eagleby woman.
A search of the Coomera property on 25 October led to the discovery of cannabis, meth and MDMA, according to police.
“The investigation began following community intelligence suggesting that the Beattie Road address was involved in the sale of dangerous drugs,” police said today in a statement.
“During the search, police discovered a range of substances, including cannabis, methylamphetamine, THC oil actively cooking, and over one kilogram of MDMA tablets.
“In addition, instructions for drug production were located within the residence.”
A 32-year-old Eagleby woman was taken into custody, and has been charged with 12 counts of drug and weapon offences.
She is due to reappear at Southport Magistrates Court on November 7.
Chief Superintendent Craig Hanlon said the operation demonstrated police’s “ongoing focus on keeping harmful substances off the streets”.
“Gold Coast Police will continue to act decisively against anyone involved in the manufacture or distribution of dangerous drugs,” Chief Superintendent Hanlon said.
Investigations are continuing.
